vortmax
The question is, what's the mechanism for delaying the LP formation on the GFS vs accelerating it on other models? The 18z GFS surface reflection just looks weird to me from 42-60hrs...

vortmax
The 18z NAM certainly made a significant jump towards the westward CMC and RGEM, and in fact a bit west of the 18z RGEM now.

wolfie09
18z GGEM tracks through ENY and kinda hangs out just north of us lol Still snowing fwiw.. Surface temps will be marginal near the lakes, freezing or a little above, ratios won't be the best but wet snow is better than no snow lol
TugHillMatt
Avoided this subforum and all weather models as if they were Covid for....20 HOURS! I was determined to not let the ups and downs of weather affect my day. Doesn't look like much difference since yesterday? Riding the line. Wow, I can't imagine what the more modern homes (outside) are priced at! The market is insane in Buffalo, people are moving here for the first time since the glory days. Population actually went up in WNY. My house went from 160k to 200k+ in appraisal within the last year. They are opening up a large Amazon distribution center in Hamburg, and another in Grand Island. If you create more jobs, more people will move there.

Relatively low cost of living, very good colleges, lake erie, lots of medical jobs and tech jobs.

Sounds legit. I thought it might be because of the Williamsville School District, massive amounts of lake effect snow, and being a suburb of New York City.
SyracuseStorm
Love Buffalo! Work in the hospitals there and have done roughly 1100 overnights there over the past ten years. When I moved to Cuse from NYC area, I was a Jets fan and I converted to Buffalo Bills 3 years ago. It is truly a second home city for me.

TugHillMatt
Whoa...I know houses here in the Baldwinsville area/Suburbs of Syracuse are pretty ridiculous too. You have to be willing to go above asking price to compete with anybody. Hence, my wife and I shall be in an apartment another year...

If interest rates were higher we would not be seeing this. It makes the monthly payment much lower and more affordable thus increasing the prices of the homes as renting is now more expensive then buying is.
