Thinksnow18
Also does this current shortwave look a lot more put together than forecast? Not one model has thus much snow just off to our west and looks to be holding together...
tim123
Rgem looks like a solid advisory south of lake ontario. 4 to 8 inches.
CNY_WX
It’s a beautiful mid winter morning. The temperature plummeted in the pre dawn hours bottoming out at -3 here on the east side of Brewerton. It’s already recovered close to 20 degrees. I’m not expecting a lot from Tuesday’s event but a couple of inches would be nice to keep the snowpack fresh.
Thinksnow18
12z jester gets the taint all the way to the southern tier pushing the “heavier “ snows a bit further north. In this scenario the 4-6” line would be the 90 corridor and less south due to mixing.
Buffalo Bumble
Game day, let’s go Bills!!! Chance of rain in KC? Don’t think we want that, need our passing game to fire on all cylinders.

wolfie09
Stupid secondary is killing me lol Bringing winds out of the E/NE/ENE allowing the higher elevations to my east to rob whatever available moisture..I much rather a true SWFE lol (haven't seen 12z yet)
wolfie09
Ukmet still brings the low over the southern tier.. Amazing we can't get a little more precip with a track that far north, it's like a shield over Oswego county lol In reality we are probably the"jump over" zone as the primary dies and the secondary takes control.. It does look like the warmth may be muted a bit as it heads east though. I haven't been paying much attention to long for February. What's it looking like?

Appears to come in around midnight on the latest model so that works in our favor. Now we just need our defense to knock around Mahomes and show him what a real hit is, not that Nancy boy shit he faked his injury on last week.
TugHillMatt
Hmmm...watching this event for Tuesday...at present, it looks better for Central NY. We went from it being a fizzler with maybe an inch or two...to now a secondary development with the possibility of 3 to 6 inches..perhaps 4 to 8 inches depending on ratios. My biggest concern is to see if trends continue where the secondary will do it's "late development" that seems to always happen anymore and we end up on the western edge with an inch or two. Yeah, we'll see definitely trending better for C/ENY.

Also, with a lot of cloud cover nighttime lows should be well above normal while daytime highs could be near to slightly above normal.

TugHillMatt
It's a rather narrow band, especially on Euro, so hopefully we can lock it in the next 48 hours.

Buffalo Bumble
Something remarkable happened at BUF yesterday...We had our first below normal day in 23 days and the first one in January. That makes a paltry 2 out of the last 35 or so days below normal.
