@stormtracker remember when I said I didn't buy the thermals on the GGEM and ICON.  The euro has a track INSIDE both of those runs yet stays all snow in DC.  It's close of course...but I trust the euro thermal representation MUCH more then the GGEM and ICON at that range.  That was why I was saying those runs were pretty good.

I think that most of my fellow DC'ers would take the gamble on sleet to get something like this?

not really.  Yeaterday's track was ideal.  Not even saying those snow maps were legit.  It was powder for all(well most).  Now we get that tucked in too close look and warm layer.  So in other words: more suppression is better

Yup.  I'm happy with this run.  Obviously, I'd want all snow, but I can roll with it for a storm like this.

I would definitely gamble on this, but don't look at the 2m temps and just pretend it happens colder than modeled.  35 in DC for most of the storm.

Yeah, not ideal, but I really can't quibble with that for now.  Im just happy we got something (potentially) special to track
