What a mess in Texas with the electric grid.

The spot price of wholesale electricity on the Texas power grid spiked more than 10,000% on Monday amid a deep freeze across the state and rolling outages among power producers, according to data on the grid operator's website.

Real-time wholesale market prices on the power grid operated by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) were more than $9,000 per megawatt hour late Monday morning, compared with pre-storm prices of less than $50 per megawatt hour, according to ERCOT data.

The casino opens in 11.5 hours futures green

I spent 5-10 hours each of the last 4 days researching sectors / trends for growth for this year.  I’m not exaggerating on the amount of time . 10 hours one day , 7-8 straight on others

Here is what I felt were best

1. Low priced lithium miners

LIACF $

NTTHF $

NVNXF (innovators )

penny / spec lithium plays
OWRDF, ILHMF, RRSSF

2. Energy storage / Battery companies

PGTK = money

PWON (Buying on dip this week)

LGORF innovative

3. Space sector

NPA

SRAC

Ill repost and see how bad i sucked

Buying all stocks in group 1/2 this week , already own space stocks and ev’s, Lithium / Graphine miners , new biotech, some pot/ shroom plays and Battery storage is most of what I own

That some solid DD!   Thank you!

I'm just an arcade player but it's fun to listen to folks, who have studied the individual games, more than I have.

Of Boston’s top 10 snowstorms how many of them were miller As and how many were Miller Bs? I know the blizzard of 78, Jan 2015 blizzard, Feb 2013 blizzard, and the Jan 2005 blizzard were all Miller bs but I’m not sure about the other ones on this list.

Feb 2003, Jan 1978, and Feb 1958 on that list were Miller As.

The electric grid situation in Texas is unbelievable. Millions without power for 24 hours in below zero weather, many without water.

Yeah. Was reading a reddit thread about it this morning. The amount of water pipes bursting is insane.  Almost 5 million without power. Saw a drone video at night and the entire city was pitch black. People were burning furniture or whatever they had outside to try and stay warm.

Seems like it takes a long time for Robinhood to furnish the proper tax forms. I made a profit of like $300 last year and it’s been the last tax form I’ve been waiting on for weeks.

I just got all of my tax forms from Vanguard on Sunday. Mid Feb seems to be right on target IMO.

Wife just turned in all of our documents to the Accountant who's been doing our taxes the last couple years due to the business being added.  Desk worker asked if we included our stimulus payment in paperwork and told him we never received a stimulus payment and he looked at my wife like she had two heads.

Is anything in the state of ma efficient? My wife got a letter saying she owed back all of the 13k in unemployment she received last year. She was obviously sent for a loop, and when she spoke to a rep, the rep said it could most likely be attributed to a “computer glitch” of some sort, but that her avenue to correct the issue was to file an appeal.

That was 8 weeks ago, and we haven’t heard word one about an appeal status or date or anything. So naturally, this continues to loom over us.

It’s unbelievably frustrating.

I imagine it could be frustrating  but IT IS an error ,  so you won't be paying it back. They can see this clearly , it's just they are so overwhelmed it will take a while for them to clear it up. Has happened to many folks. You will be fine.

I mean ...if you want to you could make a nice donation to the state but if it was legit there is really nada to worry about it.

There is about 1 Million glitches in the Unemployment system as it's massively overwhelmed And as far as any theoretical line to pay back umemployment there is about 2-3 million folks  who would be ahead of her that actually are just collecting fraudulently  (because it's incredibly easy with no double checking , esp as a gig worker) but to prove this would be very hard...( how can you prove someone doesn't work for themselves part time...especially when they have people who will vouch that yes joe blow painted his house...fixed his faucet....insert any gig work that is incredibly hard to disprove)  .  Folks who did that last year got 600 extra a week , even if they were only making 150 per week as "gig worker".

Your wife collected legally and they will 100% clear this up for you, it's just they are so overwhelmed the process to correct it is going to take a long time.

I have a question in regards to enso state and how favorable each enso state is for snowfall. I know the mid Atlantic prefers moderate and strong ninos, and areas like northern Maine prefer strong ninas, but what about southern new England? There are some risks associated with both ninos and ninas, but i would think overall ninas are more favorable due to our latitude protecting us from the se ridge to an extent.

That's Austin.. Houston didn't get much more than an inch. Blizzard of 1895 still reigns supreme.

Saw a video of a couple of guys skiing down 2222 in Austin this afternoon on twitter. This is Blizzard of '78 like stuff for Texas right now.

I know this is ghoulish but....hindsight being 20/20 it seems that constructing your utility grid so it’s completely walled off from the federal grid, because ya know... secessionists, may have a downside.

5%,8%,10%
2%, 40%, 10%

-2, 25%, 2%

1.5% -1%

is how all those played out today

A significant storyline ..follow me

With investors looking and scavenging for alpha returns (they can’t stop, they are feening) months into this small cap speculative frenzy (like a crazed man on his fifth day of a yard sale ..Still trying to find deals ) A new catalyst is getting more play w news that China is openly wondering how much  disruption they could cause in US defense contractors by limiting supply or rare earth materials exported to USA .

China nearly has a monopoly on these minerals at least as far as how developed (far along they are with their companies extracting these minerals /metals ) . Keep in mind US clean energy has a very high demand for these minerals for electric vehicles , solar technology , aerospace And our demand is skyrocketing, so the China story is a potential major disruptor to our supply . Couple Open fed policy of trying to create inflation (which will show in commodities.. which will lower break even costs for mining  ) and we have a very LUCRATIVE set up for DOMESTIC miners of rare earth miners as well as lithium , graphene , manganese , Copper, nickel and uranium . Look at the micro caps to small caps in this area . They are simply skyrocketing . Any company who has leading innovation to make the process more efficient, or superior grade minerals won’t hurt

I will leave a list of Domestic tickers in this field but the pedal is being put to the medal for US to pull minerals out of the US , we can also combine that with Australian miners  as well as some South American plays as well .

These plays have already been very hot for the last 6 weeks but it seems the junior minors in this area are being targeted for widespread buying in massive volume

Nickel CNIKF

Manganese AMZYF

Lithium LIACF, NTTHF, GIKLF, LLKKF

Rare earths

DFMTF , MP,  LYSCF, (penny plays BMIX & GWMGF)

So my wife started to get sick last Thursday... lost taste and smell sat night... got a pcr and rapid Sunday morning. Rapid was positive... we are assuming pcr will be as well, but still waiting on result. She has had mild flu like symptoms since.

I woke up with body aches and a headache today, so I went to get tested... both pcr and rapid. My rapid was surprisingly negative, obviously still waiting on the pcr.

Can anyone speak to the accuracy of a negative rapid test for me based on this timeline?

I got a rapid a little while ago and they said that if symptoms started day of it might be too early for the rapid to pick it up. The PCR should though.

Looking at the markets and The Dollar ..looks like it’s trying to stage a Few day rally , It’s right on the cusp today and tonite .. potentially putting the breaks on this most recent leg of the SP 500 rise.

We should know by Thursday (at latest ) . If the FED CAN talk the dollar down tomorrow or it just falls then the market rally should extend , but given How quickly the market and especially Speculative stocks Could unwind their gains from this level ..its definitely worth keeping an eye on

SP 500 needs to hold 3915, below that 3875 and that can happen in a flash

Cryptocurrencies are quivering for a decent break downward or an epic break upward.   By cryptocurrencies I mean the solid players not the shitcoins.
Blockchain is here to stay.

Yeah... the woman said something like 86% accuracy for the rapid... I found that number a little odd so I figured I’d check here to see if anyone else heard anything else.

Anyway, my wife had her pcr results come back tonight, also positive, so no surprise there after a rapid positive.

I await my pcr results now.
