There will be adjustments. I am following today's trends closely. One thing that does suck on the 12z GFS aside from being a bit warmer is the loss of the second system. One thing I will say is we have to watch northeastern NC and southeastern VA for a secondary max as the surface low deepens while moving out.

griteater
1 hour ago, BornAgain13 said: Yeah its weird, maybe it's not that its further north , but it's because it has more precip on the NW side, maybe? It’s subtle, but the CMC is a little farther north with the track of the wave and vort max compared to the GFS brothers

TARHEELPROGRAMMER88
Well, this is just terrible trends for everyone outside the mountains. Seems to be a common theme the last few winters. We need an absolute perfect set up to squeeze out an inch in many places now. Could it be global warming? Does anyone know?

We’re lucky to be having any threats at all right now. Pattern should get colder over next 2 weeks

Several of you have really wonky perceptions of where the mountains actually are in NC. A lot of the western piedmont of North Carolina (essentially north and west of Charlotte) actually do quite well on this model run of the ECMWF-HiRes. Plus, there is a decent snow signature in a horizontal line from Hickory to Raleigh. This looks pretty good to me, with round 2 just emerging for early next week.
