AND WESTERN PUTNAM COUNTIES...

At 1249 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were clustered over Goshen,
moving northeast at 20 mph.

Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail are possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Newburgh, Monroe, West Point, Goshen, Cold Spring, New Windsor,
Gardnertown, Chester, Montgomery, Florida, Kiryas Joel, Woodbury,
Orange Lake, Mechanicstown and Washingtonville.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional

Getting destroyed over this way. My PWS is up over 1.20” and counting.

Sorry to hear that.  Hopefully you have no loss or damage.  The storms really pulsed down when they reached here. Nothing severe here at all light rain and a few rumbles. Total in the rain gauge so far is 0.32.

Thanks. All good at home aside from the driveway washed out a bit, as is tradition.  1.59” on the day with light rain still holding on, just need the lines juiced up again.

I rarely get any water in the basement but I got some yesterday, it sure was a torrential downpour. 1.64” total for yesterday, most of which fell within a half hour. Made it down to 67 for the low, 70/69 currently, really looking forward to the upcoming air mass change, LET’S GO!!

Yeah I saw your rain total...I have your station saved and check it to see how you northern folk are doing.
