ForestHillWx
Took a ride up through Byram Township, Netcong/Stanhope to grab some dinner for the family from Dom Jose (a decent meal no doubt) and I was impressed by the amount of snow/piles of snow we’ve got going. This month rivals some of the greats in my opinion.
CPcantmeasuresnow
4.8 inches here, 55.3 on the season and 16.5 otg. This month is getting close to March 2018 totals for me.
gravitylover
That last round was pretty great, of course I passed out and missed most of it but I can tell from the fluffy surface how good it must have been. It's still flurrying but now the wind is out of the NW for the first time so it's different.

Juliancolton
I had to shuttle someone to HPN for the 7 am flight to FLL (they can keep it), and the return trip definitely got dicey in spots. 84 was snow-covered in the hills around Brewster in the last hour. gravitylover
Tell them to use SWF next time. It was still snowing until a little while ago. Gotta love when you get fluffy lake effect on the backside of a multi day storm. That stuff added up to nearly 2" bringing my total up to about 6" for the event. Not the first time you have no idea but I digress, lost a half inch last night to settling, 14” at the stake.

NepaJames8602
Getting a gentle snowfall from les squalls here in the Poconos this morning. This stuff isn’t even showing up on radar. A nice 1 to 2” inch surprise of pure fluff this am. 4

IrishRob17
I have a field stone path from the front door to the back of the house where there is an outside entrance to the basement. So there is a good amount of grass exposed because I keep it shoveled...this path shall be named “Deer Shit Way” until further notice...
gravitylover
Man that sunset during a super heavy snow shower was sublime. So colorful and so subdued with the most wonderful diffuse lighting I've experienced in years. The colors were being bounced and diverted and scattered and sparkled and... OMG it was fantastic. I would have missed it if I wasn't out there doing my best for my wife who's broken and scared and melting down because that's what we sign up for. I got the whole line shoveled out, all 120 feet of it, from the back door to the street so I can get my truck up the hill to save the agony of getting her down the stairs and icy driveway. My fkn back and shoulders are already stiff, sore and hurtin' but I got 'er done and my watch only alerted me to dangerously high heart rates a few times. 1

I've only seen pink snow twice (once at sunrise in Jan 2004 and once at sunset in Feb 2009).

ForestHillWx
Had snow showers last night. Point and click is showing 3-5 Monday. Does this have legs?
gravitylover
I didn't pay too much attention overnight but when I woke up this morning it was between 8-12 around the area, that's at least 5-8 colder than predicted. It's still only 9 at KDXR at 8:45. Tomorrow is starting to look like a plowable event, maybe more to my WSW than here but that's ok.

The increased sun angle is quite apparent at this point, which is much appreciated on my ice/ snow coated stone driveway but the mud season is right around the corner on the driveway as well...
gravitylover
It's warming up in a hurry, 29° and climbing under deep crystally blue skies. The mud is gonna be the real deal this year, there's a ton of moisture locked up in this snowpack. I had to break it into little icy chunks to move it yesterday. White Gorilla
A nice thump is looking likely for us inland folks tomorrow. Could see 1 inch /hour rates as convection south of us feeds in.
Juliancolton
0.9F was my low this morning, now up past 30 already. It is unquestionably sun angle season.

Yup. And my mood is definitely responding for the better. Love these deep blue sunny winter with thick snowpack and seasonal temps. We will refill the pack tomorrow.
Juliancolton
I think 36 is going to do it unless there are some downsloping shenanigans in the next hour or so. Nice day for sure! Yeah, looking forward to another refresher tomorrow. It looks to fall mostly during daylight which is also nice. Caveat emptor, this is a rough sounding for ratios...
Juliancolton
Radiating like a bastard here. 12F already. If we weren't clouding over tonight, I'd probably be headed for negative double digits.
Juliancolton
The 12z NAM is juicy. Somebody could get a sneaky 5" I think. 34/22F As a side note, if y'all could just post once in a while so it doesn't look like I'm talking to myself, that'd be swell...
