Wife and I decided to use this storm as a math lesson (graphing) for our currently homeschooled 2nd grader.

She and I will measure the snow at regular intervals, then plot them on a graph. After that, I’ll show her how to do it in Excel, which she’s excited about! :lol:p

But I guess if we don’t get all terribly much snow, we’ll just plot at a 1/4” scale.

I love this idea...way to add some learning to snow.  RGEM says you should plot at the 1” scale.  DC climo says the 1/16” scale.

edit:  just saw RGEM snow maps.  RGEM says you should plot at the 4” scale lol

The RGEM apparently doesn’t want to support American. It wants to bring poutine and Labat Blue to your backyard and have you take pictures with the moose in full flannel

.

Don't threaten me with a good time....

There's a 100% chance if my yard jacks I'll rub it in like a boss and go dark until the next one. Winners like to leave like winners. Losers are a dime a dozen

On the DC area there is a fine line between getting hosed by the big red dong and being hosed by the big red dong of precip

You know the neighborhood lines in DC very well. I'd ask why you know this but then it would reveal that I know it too so I wont

I walk the line all the time. It’s a very fine line. I don’t get to go one toke over the line often.  But if I got some CMC love this one time I’d know what it’s like to step over that line
