Has the arm, has the legs but not great at reading defenses which is crucial especially in the playoffs...

Agree. He’s not a guy who’s going to bring the team from behind. Phenomenal runner, accuracy as a passer is shaky. He needs to figure out defensive coverages and adjust accordingly.

Poor Ravens. :( They crushed Buffalo in terms of total yards and time of possession.  Defense was solid enough.  However, the 14 point swing due to Lamar’s inexcusable interception, crappy play calling at critical times, and Tucker’s fails sunk the Ravens.  A better coached and more talented team like the Chiefs should fare better against Buffalo.

Last year there was a brief period where the modeling consistently advertised a significant improvement from the Pacific Doom Blob regime.  I remember distinctly that this modeled improvement started to fall apart jast as the Ravens were losing to Tennessee last year.  At the time I was hoping that the negative interpretation of the modelling had a lot to do with the emotions from the game.  But alas it was not the case.  The look continued to degrade over the next few days and the rest is history.

Hopefully we don;t get a redux this year.

Disappointing end to the season, but at least we came out of it with Lamar finally getting his first playoff win ("finally"...as if it's been years, lol). Disappointed that the adversity didn't turn into a championship, but...perhaps we can still get there. Need a new offensive coordinator...Roman needs to go, unless he changes his entire passing approach...which I'm not entirely sure he can/will. One thing is for sure, the team took a step forward overall...and the defense is great! Just the offense...get Lamar a true #1 (Allen Robinson would be a dream pickup), and again...reconsider our OC...PLEASE! Go Ravens!!

But in 4 post season games, it’s fair to say he’s been terrible in 3 of them.

SO FAR...keyword. People are acting like it's so farfetched that he could still get better. How many definitive statements can we really make about a QB that just turned 24? Mahomes and Brady are is an anomalies...ain't gonna happen like that all the time. It takes time to learn how to win in the playoffs (see Peyton Manning)...and this year Lamar finally got one win. What if that is a sign of growth? He could get two or more wins next year and even up (or get above) record...nothing is set in stone. Personally I'm gonna give him at least next season to see if/how he progresses.

My takeaway from these 2 playoff games is that the o-line has been brutalized. Need Ronnie Stanley back and a center that can hike the ball.

Its amazing they played as well as they did down the stretch. The interior has been a mess all year. They somehow made it workable by rotating guys around, but overall they are terrible at pass blocking. And they have no true center. That last part is an understatement.

That was an untimely pick, but it was the first one he has ever thrown in the red zone. He had thrown 49 red zone TD passes without  an interception.  Pretty impressive stat, and shows he makes the reads and executes an accurate throw a lot, on a short field, when it counts. He stared down Andrews, and didn't see the defender. Worst time to not execute, but I guess he was due.

Someone needed to make a tackle though.

These people don't really watch the games.

Get him an O-line that can pass block, and a legit receiver, like a Diggs, and he will be fine. With Stanley and Boyle back next season, the blocking will be better, but they need a true center and a guard that can replace Yanda. They patchworked it most of the year and made it work, but the biggest difference between this season and last was easily the drop off in O line play.

So many Lamar apologists. Yes the O line dropped off but his play in these big games has been alarming. He’s come up short 3 straight years. No one is saying give up on him yet but I need to see him do well against a very good defense in a big spot. He thinks run first all the time and still struggles in reading defenses.  Until he can win the big game doubts will remain about him.
