PackGrad05
Definitely looks like a triad CAD special. Need it to trend stronger/more south for Wake to get in on the fun.

Back when I was a kid, it seemed like we got 1 or 2 of those every year. TW Maybe not in those exact proportions, but the Triad has not lacked snow over the last decade
tarheelwx
Ideally we never get above 31. For situations like this, we'd probably need to bottom out at around 27 or so in order to keep below freezing for most of Sunday. Once the freezing rain starts, we'll most likely see a rise of 3-4 degrees over a 10 hour period. TW

We have done so much better than those not far to our south and east. We've seen a respectable amount of snow, but not much in the way of ice. StantonParkHoya
Wouldn't be surprised to see the precip start earlier. These setups are notorious for an early batch of moisture to roll in once the SW flow establishes.

Power was out for a few days with the first one, don't recall for the 2nd.

Dunkman
I’m honestly surprised the Euro totals aren’t higher up north. The coastal just sits there for 2 days.
Tacoma
why can't we for once get colder and stay cold before the storm, why every time does it seem to get warmer and rain. why couldn't the storm Saturday night be more south, I might have known the Euro was going to cave to the GFS since this is the one showing the warm solution. I was hoping for once this would turn in our favor.
