BooneWX
Almost glad I’m in the foothills snow hole on the model runs. I was burnt a few weeks ago miserably in a similar setup. 3

It's not even really marginal.

BullCityWx
With the amount of lift in the GFS, I wouldn’t be shocked with thunder snow. 2
magpiemaniac
Van Denton’s first call is for dusting to 1” for most of the Triad with 1” to 2” to points north.
CaryWx
I wish the NAM would come onboard with the heavier amounts. I'd feel more confident.

NorthHillsWx
NWS will wait till the 00z suite before they cave. Having the euro/NAM on the low end is definitely disconcerting but even the euro has made great strides over the last 24 hours. Not an easy forecast 1
WinstonSalemArlington
Tim Buckley says computer models are suddenly “going nuts” with snow chances in the Triad tomorrow night, and he frankly doesn’t know what to think, but a coating to 1” is looking likely. 1

The trend has also been ticking up. This could be either a huge fail or a massive coup from the V16 as it’s been rock steady on this one

I’m always on the outside looking in (rockingham is snow hell) I’m pulling for the guys up north but at least I want be latched on to every single run of the NAM and HRRR( does anybody really believe that?) I’m a weenie even when every model says I have no Chance. Cheers 2

Threads jinx our events. And I’d like RAH and local mets to get on board first. Maybe an obs thread once someone has 1”. LOL. 1 2
ILMRoss
look i'm no moderator but i think it would be worthwhile to start a thread for this so that chatter on the weekend storm has its own place. 5 2

If the NAM joins the party, a Thursday AM event thread might be justified. Not until then. Whoever starts a thread too early would be a pariah. And it’s Tuesday. I won’t think about Sunday until Thursday. 2
CaryWx
The jinx factor is still out there for Thurs storm That said we are beginning to track a second system for Sunday and that will bleed over since something (even if not much) will certainly come of the Thurs event now for NC 1
