Go ahead and have the power company on speed dial because Thursday isn’t looking so good.

Praise God for your detector. Consider doubling up on detectors in the house.

I have already ordered 2 more. Another one for myself and one for my daughter and her husband. Our reading got up to 226 on our carbon monoxide detector. The fire department said that was extremely high.

Glad you’re okay.  Did you find out what caused the CO levels?  Dirty wick?  Bad kerosene?

@Jonathan @jjwxman what are you guys thinking? You both have been on the board for a good amount of time.

I honestly hate even looking at any maps for this one. It's like getting punched in the gut while I'm still reeling from the left hook from Friday-Saturday. Lot of folks here still without power. We're in the bullseye yet again. Praying for more sleet or at least heavier rain so it'll be harder to accumulate.

Feels helpless basically KNOWING I'm gonna get clocked and there's nothing I can do about it. Can't even find any generators around here. Contemplated going to the OBX, as I'm off work Thursday thru Monday anyway.

Don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up.

But as this trough finally clears the coast later this week, Friday afternoon/evening could end up being a sneaky little snow chance if our friend, the northwest trend, shows up to amp this impulse up and drive precipitation further inland.

Indeed

Now this would be nice. Reminds me of when I was in college in 2000 at PC in Clinton - nearly a foot of snow out of nowhere, tiny little bullseye right over Laurens County of all places. Power out and trees snapping all through the night. It was a great time to be a college senior. Of course, this was in January but ... it could still happen... magnificent March?
