2.5" report just west of Keokuk, along IA/MO border....Should bode well for those in NE IL.

Around 13,000 ft over FFL there is a nice KDP signal for dendritic growth (KDP between 0.2 and 0.8). Not surprised it's coming down good in that area.

Nice band training along I74 corridor here. Snow is a little more granular at times with periods of big flakes. Hrrr increased icing potential here. I like that dews are much lower than temp now. May help keep temps from surging too quick above freezing later.

You have to go to western Missouri to find dews in the 30s, so yeah, evaporative cooling and increasing waa will be battling for a while until temps finally rise above 32.

I come back here every winter for yes the forecasting insights but mainly for the GIF commentary and Eurythmics references... Just need some sledding snow so I can take my daughter out over her winter break!!! Hope everyone is doing well!!!

You as well!
I also enjoy the gifs & (good) banter. But I mainly come here because my wife & other family members generally hate the snow & big winter events. I enjoy being amongst like-minded people in regards to winter.
