We just closed in on 3 in at my house and it has covered the roads and everything with a complete blanket of white, That's interesting, I'm just down the road from you in Bluegrass and have 2 inches. It is really beautiful.
dwagner88
Knoxville TDOT cameras look arctic. Especially east of town.
Carvers Gap
Ice and wind driven snow...20-30mph winds. Front crashed in like a freight train. Temps dropped to snow worthy levels in about a 20-25 minute time frame.
bearman
That measurement is in the Grass. The roads have around an inch on average. It is sticking on everything. I am surprised at how fast it accumulated.

Nash_LSU
Anyone out towards the Clarksville/Dickson part of the state seeing any flakes making it down through the dry air?
BNAwx
Congrats to you folks in East TN. The pics I’ve seen are awesome. Keep ‘em coming!
bearman
I have actually surpassed 3 slightly but it seems to have slowed down now. Maybe we can get some more later with the UL.
1234snow
Switchover has occurred. Temp down to 34. It was 50 about 30 minutes ago. Watching the CC on RadarScope was simply incredible.

It ranks up there with some of the fastest ones.
bluegrassweather71
Closing in on 2” or better here in London/Laurel County, KY. Looks like additional accumulations will be dependent on the northwest flow ushering in snow showers, squalls. Think we can get up to 3, “ with scattered 4” totals. very pleased with the outcome. No complaints here.
ShawnEastTN
Anyone out towards the Clarksville/Dickson part of the state seeing any flakes making it down through the dry air? Curious as well looks like radars are picking up low level moisture all the way back into southern illinois.Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Nice job tracking this thing Carvers, you deserve it. Nothing like tracking snow for Christmas...been great to see everyone posting. I think we will get similar amounts to east Knoxville here. We had to suffer through some great returns with the liquid stuff. But just going to enjoy it. 30-40mph front passage, heavy rain, and snow. Been a great weather day.

bluegrassweather71
JKL upgraded Laurel, Whitley and Jackson Counties to a Winter Storm Warning. Additional snow accumulations up to 2” I’m a middle aged dude but stuff likes this makes me young again!
Vol Man
Great to see the reports....just changed over here in East Kingsport....snowing pretty hard already. Temp dropped from 51 to currently 39 in about 45 minutes.

Stovepipe
Looks like this round is wrapping up here, still some very light snow falling at the moment at 28 degrees. A little over 2 inches at this point. I can't believe we got a white Christmas, I'm very grateful. Congrats to everybody that cashed in and maybe that Euro New Years Big Dog will pan out and get the whole forum involved!

bluegrassweather71
Road conditions are terrible on the KY side of the plateau. I-75, I-64, Hal Rogers Parkway and Mountain Parkway are treacherous. Combination of heavy snow and flash freeze has really made things a mess up here.
