PowellVolz
So this is about as ridiculous as anything I’ve ever seen. The official amount of snow for Knoxville is 2”, even though they clearly say at one point they measured 3”. Ironically, 2” matches up closer to the NWS prediction map. .

Down in the Valleys around Rose Hill are typically some of the coldest in the County so, that stations reading of -1 most likely accurate. -30 readings reported back in Feb. 96 in Rose Hill.
tnweathernut
Great event for the north Johnson City area! I was in Tazewell for the event visiting family and made my way back that night just after the main event passed. I caught these pictures Christmas afternoon with the convective snow bands coming through. If you were fortunate enough to have been under these you will know how fun they were. Ended up with around 5” total. The cold was also very impressive as we worked into the single digits this AM. .

Carvers Gap
Headed up to Bays Mountain today for a run(SLOW!) in the snow. Went through anywhere from 3-7" of snow. Got a lot of good climbing in though.
Blue Ridge
Wound up with 5.5" total for the event. Still plenty on the ground today. We'll see if we overshoot forecasted lows tonight.

Bays Mountain Park in Kingsport. Some of the "peaks" there are 2,280-2,400(max) feet. Pretty cool place. There is actually an elevated valley in the middle of two ridges - pretty rare geological formation(valley in the top of a mountain). Just looks like one ridge as you drive by on I-26. It used to be Kingsport's water supply. We were at about 2,000' in the phot. Great place to ride mountain bikes, run, or hike. Also has a nice nature center and planetarium. Most of the arms of the lake were ice covered today. 5

Carvers Gap
Another great resource from the NWS-MRX in regards to snow totals. I like this product.... https://noaa.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html?fbclid=IwAR0QYePy3pyZYuuIS0jbRay_ZTOsakNgNxnZaAoB2TsaN0mHV2zxZ1c-btU#/4fe985838e464fb9bb980799443e01b6 6
Daniel Boone
Made a trek to Middlesboro this afternoon . Along the way you could see differences in amounts but, not frequent, generally a couple miles apart. The greatest visually estimated depth was about 2 miles west of Jonesville, 6 to 8" (Pines were weighed down) reaching about 2 miles b4 lowering to 4 to 5" until reaching Ewing of which 5 to 6 " appeared to be the amounts from there to Middlesboro.
