Wintersnow888
AccuWeather has snow periods for the next two hours for my location.... seems to be something on radar but I don't have access to a Hi- Res one ..... could that be true? Thanks!

Jed33
Just had an very heavy streamer come through Morristown but I wasn’t there to see it. I talked to a buddy who said it probably laid down another 1/2in! Instead I was driving through some pretty heavy off and on snow showers on the way to my in laws in Bristol. In some cases it was just about whiteout conditions!

Carvers Gap
Several snow showers today in the wake of yesterday's system. Wind chills at TRI are at 4F. I suspect they are near or below zero here. Wind has been howling off and on during the past 30 mins. Coldest day in a long time. Awesome!!!
John1122
It's snowed all day here for the most part. Added 1/2 inch additional accumulation. 4.5 total.
Jed33
It’s just ripping here in Bristol VA at the in-laws right now! No joke I bet they’ve had an inch in 10 min! Super impressive The walkway you see was shoveled clear when we got here. Now it’s disappearing under the snow! Looks like they have a little more than 6in right now
Kentucky
One more streamer, as the event winds down here.
John1122
I posted that and the sun was peeking out. As soon as I looked back outside it was like living in a fog cloud. Amazing how badly the NAM missed these snow showers. The Canadian suite nailed them. 3

Holston_River_Rambler
I'm finally getting some streamers up here in MoCo: I had forgotten how pretty fresh snow on top of old snow is
John1122
It was pouring half dollars for the last 20 minutes or so. Huge flakes.
Dsty2001
We have one coming through right now that's probably dropped a half inch in just 20 minutes, very heavy band
Math/Met
Heavy snow band moving through Greeneville at the moment. Any melted areas on my road are completely covered again.
Daniel Boone
Pretty much missed out on the streamers here 2day. They traversed thru Harlan Co. N2 Wise, Co. To our North. Then Claiborne southern Hancock and Hawkins southward to our South.
John1122
Just before sunset it was dropping huge flakes. I was at the Cumberland Trail head getting some drinking water out of the natural spring there. I picked up another 1/2 inch in that band. 5 total for the event. Still flurries flying around out there.
Jed33
Got back home from my in laws in Bristol. I 81 was mostly fine with just some patchy snow here and there. The side roads were covered though. When I got back I see that we picked up about 3/4in in those heavy bands that pushed through. That brings my total for this storm to 4.25in. My in laws though really racked up as they had 7in!

Vol Man
Check out this picture...this line is where I have a patched crack in my asphalt driveway. Must be difference in residual temperature between the solid asphalt and the patch material. Anyway, thought it was a cool picture.
Jed33
Here was our storm system this AM on satellite. Look at how sharp the back edge of the system was! I don’t ever recall such a well defined storm like that. It’s nearly perfect. Also looks like it was tilted for sure. Maybe feeling the NAO block? Anyway I thought this was cool.
PowellVolz
I got gaped on every streamer that came through today. Cannot complain though, ended up between 5-6” when I was “predicted” in the 1-2” range. .
PowellVolz
Shoutout to Tellico BTW. I believe he was the first that started talking about this being a bust on the high end. The HRW convection mods did well also. I believe they were on the high end of projecting snow totals. .

It didnt start until night here at my house. These were convective bands and we seem to got lucky.I went to the store earlier today and you couldnt even tell it snowed any a few blocks away. This was the same as the last storm, except we didnt get much of anything, but if you went south towards Franklin they got much more than us
Holston_River_Rambler
Looks like Dan may have broken into the negative single digits this AM: Definitely some chilly spots with snow cover this AM: not too often the IR picks up snow cover in the purples in East TN
Jed33
Bottomed out right now at 6 degrees here at the house. Looks like MRX is at 8. Definitely the coldest since 2018. We didn’t break into the single digits at all last year. The power of snow cover! Edit: I said they were at 8 bc that’s what the current observation was around the time I wrote it. I guess they went with 9 instead.
