josh_4184
Potentially looking at our first decent LES event of the season beginning tomorrow night through the holiday weekend. Certainly not the best setup for NWL and the UP but the bar has been set low. SWL is looking decent as well. Does not appear we have had a dedicated LES thread in a couple years, obviously we do not have a lot of members in the LES belts but thought I would start one again anyway.
michsnowfreak
Once the Christmas season has passed I would love to do a lake effect snow chase. I plan to take lots of walks in the snow throughout winter as well as a trip north in Feb. But chasing some Lake effect would really be fun and something I've never done. Between working from home and not being able to do much with this damn pandemic, great year to do it.
BuffaloWeather
Thanks Josh, was wondering when this thread was coming. This year has been brutal but we look to have our first real LES event here in WNY. First call from KBUF.
josh_4184
I am thinking 6-10" for my area, depending on banding, I'm sure somewhere will see over a 12". Wind profiles not the best setup. GFS seems reasonable

MIstorm97
My family now has a place between Baldwin and Ludington, right on the Pere Marquette. So I’m definitely more into LES on the west side of the state now than I was before. Looks like this will put a decent bit of snow up there
josh_4184
Certainly not eye popping LES totals but a decent first event for the season.

Lots of places to stay here. We are a large town with over 60k people. (lots of hotels) You can stay right near exit 57 on the I90 NYS thruway, which is about 1/2 from my house. Heisy
I wouldbt be able to get out and leave for NY or Erie until tomorrow evening. Worried that by that point roads will be atrocious as I got close, and I’d miss half the storm. Ugh bad timing. Hopefully another Les event soon I’ll come chase!
