It’s sitting literally half a mile to my south and the northern end is not even hiding an inch near me. Maddening

It’s moving north still radar shows another 2 to 3 mile swing in it still...I’m ripping at about 2” an hour right now and maybe 3” coming up with what’s over the lake

I just got off the thruway in Batavia. Is the band whip lashing north only to move south?  Winds over the Niagara peninsula look like they are shifting.  Not sure if I should get back on and then get off at pembroke. Or head southwest towards Wyoming county and wait it out?  Thoughts?  It’s cranking pretty good in Batavia for the record.

It's going north now, but will likely start to drift south and setup shop over central/southern erie county this afternoon/evening.

I'll be riding the RGEM like seabiscuit lol

WRF models look pretty bad, hardly even have a band after 10 pm tonight..The NWS has 2"-3" an hour stuff overnight.. Rgem for example has over an inch liquid (1.25+ total) between 3z and 12z..I guess only time will tell...

 Boundary layer flow
will then again veer westerly this evening, pushing heavy lake
effect snow back south to the Tug Hill Plateau. Snowfall rates will
continue at 2-3 inches per hour in the heaviest portion of this band
through much of the night

Updated SWS

...A BAND OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN
WYOMING...ERIE AND GENESEE COUNTIES...

At 1015 AM EST, A band of lake effect snow producing snow fall rates
of 2 to 3 inches per hour has moved slightly northward, with its
southern flank extending from Angola to Elma to Attica and its
northern flank now reaching the southern Grand Island Bridge to
Amherst to Akron. Locations under the core of this heavy snow band
include the City of Buffalo, the Buffalo Airport and towards
Batavia. This band will continue to shift northward towards the Erie
and Niagara County line through the late morning hours.

Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with this band of lake effect
snow which will create blowing and drifting to the snow. A rumble of
thunder is possible with the most intense portion of the snowband.

Conditions will deteriorate rapidly under this band of snow with
visibilities under a quarter of a mile at times. Travel will be very
difficult with deep snow covered roads. This includes Interstate 90
between exits 57A and 48. Other routes impacted include 219 north of
North Boston, Route 400, and Routes 5 and 20 from near Angola to
central Genesee County.
