rochesterdave
There might be more snow in Tennessee. How’s about that for flipping the script Matt!

Yesterday I drove to see my parents to exchange gifts but had to keep my distance and wear a mask. Driving home - rather down emotionally - I saw the models start the west trend and I’m like you have got to be kidding me!!! 2

Maybe we get some shifting back to the east a bit to get SYR and ROC in on some of the action.
vortmax
GFS is a little E, but not enough to make a difference. No synoptic for anyone. Any thoughts on dynamic cooling with a 990 LP close by?

Any thoughts on dynamic cooling with a 990 LP close by? Nah. It’s all classic features. It’s either cold enough or not depending on the front. I don’t think this is a situation where dynamic cooling would be present. But who knows!

I've been watching from afar just shaking my head...Is there any way Upstate, especially Syracuse, can get any good snows these days? So, I'm in Clarksville, TN, which is the VERY southern/western edge of possibly getting something. Any slight move east...and I'm out. lol I guess I'll get to see some snowpack on the drive home the whole way along I-71.

P.S. This post put me ONE over you in post counts!!! Your response will make us even again.
wolfie09
Grasping at straws lol Ukie continues to be the eastern"outlier" ..May not make a difference for here wrt synoptic snow but it would for lake effect lol

wolfie09
Sunday morning it went through Rochester but besides that it's been mostly E/C NY..
wolfie09
Well even the eastern solution can't deliver snow for CNY lol That's when you know we are toast, good track to.. Rochester to buffalo looks like 3"-5" verbatim...
CNY-LES FREAK
What a shame it's like we're cursed or something. We can't even get a decent snowfall anymore even in lake country, wtf is going on!Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk 2
wolfie09
Even though I'm out synoptically speaking a more easterly track helps with LES..So I'll be rooting haha..
TugHillMatt
Looks like a continuation of "chasing snowfalls 5 days out" that never materialize. Tuesday looks like another putrid airmass with what will probably end up being more high-elevation snowfall and wet slop that melts away in the urbanized valleys.
rochesterdave
UKMET is even touch and go for Rochester. Gives anyone West of 390 a good dump with enhancement noted in Niagara and Orleans. Keep hope alive lol
