I am just ready to get this over with, and will take advantage of the clear days afterwards to get some stuff done.

Yes, a week of solid cover in December is a big win in these parts. The 1" refresher on Sunday was gorgeous as well. Not a bad stretch, despite the Grinchiness. tamarack
Calm, very gray and mid 30s here. Had some dz/fog earlier, still some light fog. Rudolph better get warmed up, as the sleigh will be fighting some serious headwinds as it travels southward.
Sn0waddict
Looking at the HRRR it seems the worst of it in CT will be from Danbury-Meriden on East. The coast stays in the 50-55pmh gust range. Selfishly I hope it’s right.

ORH_wxman
We’re taking advantage of the mild weather. Fire pit going...actually quite the festive Xmas eve with the snow around and mild temps...it almost feels like Reggae week at the ski resort in late March when you have those days near 50 but plenty of corn to make turns on and you sit by the fire pit with a beer afterward. My son built a snowman and then destroyed it 20 minutes later

You are a very good deeper layer CAD spot (like it will be sleeting in BTV and you could still be all snow)...when it’s really shallow CAD right near the sfc you don’t do as well. 1

One saving grace about today is my gutters melted before the rain came. 3 inches of rain with frozen gutters could have been ugly. We reset the table, on to January.
