Winter Wizard
Close to 5" as of 5:00 and even heavier rates than before.
Blizzard of 93
4.5 inches of snow in Marysville as of 5 pm ! I love being under a Special Weather Statement and Meso Discussion during a Winter Storm Warning!
NeffsvilleWx
Looking at the national mosaic, looks like it's snowing (or other wintry precip) everywhere in PA except in the vicinity of Erie (and a little slot in the Bedford area I think, not to familiar with the Southwestern counties). Oh how the turntables
Blizzard of 93
It is absolutely dumping snow under this heavy band that is approaching from the south.

Itstrainingtime
Snow/Sleet mixture. I doubt it will flip back to all snow until later as it's ripping...so it's not because of rates.

Best rates of the day. hoping we can hang on for the heavy stuff still coming from northern Md. still snow down there too.
CarlislePaWx
Easily snowing at 2"/hour right now with huge flakes that are accumulating very quickly. I anticipate that at 6:00pm I will reach around 6.3" which will tie last winter's entire season! And it does it now in only 8 hours. Crazy! That band looks to be slowly moving east towards the region. Yea we might have some lower rates or at least more varying rates during about the 6pm hour or so. The stuff building on Pittsburgh radar should pivot over and I think the real height of this thing could be roughly 0-3z (7-10pm) with the max rates of the storm. Haven't had a foot here since Feb 9/10 2010 storm. Really some impressive bands heading up towards the UNV area now.

Blizzard of 93
The 18z GFS still buries the LSV despite some mixing for a few hours in parts of the LSV.
Anduril
Closed my store at 4pm today and left Carlisle up the Pike and it was pretty rough going. Snow rates were pretty impressive once I finally got into Mechanicsburg. Def would not recommend going out unless ya absolutely have to at this point

Itstrainingtime
You know, every storm has surprises, and every storm is unique. I'm still at least 90% snow which is something that doesn't happen very often. Typically, it's a quick transition once sleet starts mixing in. Snow is hanging really tough - and the rates are incredible!

And we have enough now that with a few hours of sleet, we're going to have a white landscape for some time. It's a 50/50 mix now.
