I had thunder in that band. It's really impressive!

Know of any news article for that? Wife has alot of family up that way

I mean I hate to say it but doesn't surprise me. People drive like total morons in the snow...they think because they are in an SUV going the speedlimit is perfectly OK.

I can't tell you how many times on our local subreddit you get people complaining about slow drivers in the snow....just slow down and don't kill anyone.

Especially with the hospitals almost to complete capacity.

The 23z HRRR has another 6 or 7 inches of snow tonight for the Harrisburg, Lancaster, & York areas, with even a little more in Cumberland & Perry counties.

I agree just a matter of patience right now......between 1am and 4am rates should be heavy. I want this to change now, just gotta wait.

Oh I know I was one of the "assholes" driving 20-30mph on the way home from Carlisle today. Had plenty of people in pickup trucks swing out and pass me at 40-60 and then almost spin out as they hit drifts/piles from plows.

Checkout some of the SWPA penndot cams. First two cams I looked at one dude was spinning out off the road...another one a guy was stuck in the middle of an uphill bridge. The guy that was spinning out almost got hit by a pick up flying by him.

Wonder how well it does with factoring sleet in?

WeatherBell doesn't include sleet in it's snow map like TT does. There's a separate accumulation map for sleet (using a 3:1) map.

Which brings the question, does anyone have any noteworthy sleet accumulations to report? Typically I'll measure and clear when a transition occurs and measure the sleet separately.
