If a person can't drive somewhere within 10 of the speed limit in light snow then they should stay home and wear a mask and be afraid. Of everything.

I wasn’t overly afraid of Covid but got it anyways.  In my 30’s with no prior health problems.  Spent a day in the hospital because I literally couldn’t get air in my lungs and let me tell you I was scared then. That’s cool you like to prove how tough and brave you are by minimizing a pandemic, mocking people who wear a mask and continuing to gather in groups but after you get it maybe I’ll take you seriously.

Anyways back to the snow...

Getting hit pretty good here. Some nice banding features from downsloping off ski country.

Yeah I can’t explain that banding but it looks intense.

Poor kbuf can’t catch a break. The heaviest snow in their entire CWA right now is over the 3 counties that don’t have an advisory.  SMH

May be early to say but UK and ICON, yes the ICON might've led the way. NYC changeover already

Yep I have the weather channel on and I’m starting to see why the models showed so much accumulation in PA...many areas have turned to sleet...Harrisburg, Bethlehem and others. This storms best dynamics are right over southern NY near Binghamton northeast...also like to point out most of the Niagara frontier has moderate snow atm...

Is the original low still closed off? It could be were in the right front quadrant right now?

Just measured 1.75" in the ROC area. It's been the same light stuff, maybe 0.25"/hr, since mid afternoon.

It's going to be a slow limp to 3" here, maybe 4", unless something changes dramatically.

I’ll tell you one thing, that 1.75” of snow has made the roads pretty damn treacherous. I think that very cold dry overnight period really primed the ground to hold the snow.

I believe that. Not looking forward to driving my kids to daycare tomorrow.

On the other hand, I'm not going to have to snowblow, which is nice!

Really!? I was banking on the warm nose f*cking over NYC and LI in my contest forecast. I have hope this extends into SNE and that backside snow doesn't ruin it by jacking up totals with fake snow. ;)

Yeah moderate snow here. Probably only about 3/4” to 1” here but roads are slicker than hell. Only 20 degrees so that snow is really sticking well to the roads. It’s funny it actually looks like there’s more snow on the roads/sidewalks than on the grass which is unusual to see. Watching Hartford,CT on TWC and it’s RIPPING. Gotta be awesome from BGM out to HFD and PVD.
