From updated GYX AFD:

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/...
1226 PM Update...
A dangerous and historic storm will continue for some areas
through the mid afternoon hours. The highest snowfall report in
New Hampshire as of noon time was 38 inches in Grantham. The
New Hampshire State record for a single storm is 49.5 inches.
Have updated snowfall totals for southwest Maine and central New
Hampshire. Extreme snowfall rates to continue for another 2 to
3 hours.

49.5?  Did they toss Berlin's 55" in Nov 1943?  Pinkham's 77" in 2/69 ("mountain" sites not admitted?)

That said, this event may have the broadest span of 30"+ of any in the Northeast.  Maybe not (or maybe so) for total area but for spanning from north-central PA thru NY, VT and NH and possibly into York County, Maine

Still accumulating in light snow.  Need to go out AGAIN to shovel but probably not until it actually stops snowing.  Very satisfying storm but I wish I went to bed later to catch the WCB but I caught some of it as I drifted off.  Snow at 4AM was dammed strong.  Other issue is Tim long-would have liked day into evening.  But I also realize I’m fine shoveling manually and thankful I can.  What better way to be out in the snow?

I’ll let @Spanks45 give you the southbury ct usa report...his setup is legit. Trust that over mine.

Thanks for the shoutout! Well, I measured a couple different ways and I think I came up with 11.5"....almost 9 inches of fluff followed by a couple that compacted easily. When everything averaged out, 11.5" will do it for me. I should have cleared the board before that sleety mix showed up...next time, hopefully it is trying to determine whether we have 29 or 30 inches

I have a reservation to ski Okemo on Saturday... Never have I ever wanted to “miss” the powder day, but hoping that things are a little bit skied out on the natural snow trails so you don’t get stuck!

A friend there says the skiing is actually bad, too much snow.  Get stuck everywhere.

Sounds like it’s just the beginner terrain that is open.. there’s not much steep there in the first place.. but if it’s just the beginner lift, it’s even worse.

Ya definitely saw people struggling on some of the mountains webcams. Got to know the mountain and stick to the steep spots on days like today. I feel so bad watching beginners and intermediate riders on powder days get stuck in the flats and choose terrible lines.
