At 1024 AM EST...An band of heavy snow remained nearly stationary
extending from the Lakes Region of NH through Lewiston ME. Snowfall
rates of up to 4" per hour have been reported in this band.

Locations impacted include...
Portland, Concord, Lewiston, Rochester, South Portland, Auburn,
Keene, Biddeford, Brunswick, Augusta, Laconia, Westbrook, Claremont,
Conway, Bath, Franklin, Gardiner, Jaffrey, Bridgton, and Henniker.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 295 between mile markers 1 and 51.
 Interstate 89 between mile markers 0 and 60.
 Interstate 93 between mile markers 29 and 87.
 Interstate 95 between mile markers 27 and 121.

  * Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a quarter mile in
  this area of heavy snow showers.

  * Snowfall rates greater than 3-4 inches per hour are occurring in
 this area of heavy snow showers.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.

I’m pretty far south of that band, and it’s snowing heavily here. I can’t imagine what it’s like in that band. must be insane
