That below zero dewpoint is likely what kills us up here...unless we get into mid-level forcing or banding, the column will likely be very slow to saturate here. The mesos were insisting on that feature carrying all the way up through SNE - the rgem probably still is. Recent runs of the NAM and now the HRRR have filled it in.
