TalcottWx
Just opened up mesoanalysis to take a peek as to what is causing that dryslot down there. 700mb center is still over PA. Once it moves east things should approve for anyone dryslotted. But make no mistake, this will hamper some totals. Not sure what okx was thinking in some areas with wide-spread 10-18" south and along the mid level low. Asking for disaster.

When you expected snowfall matches up with the 90th percentile forecast you release too.... that's normally a bad sign. 2
BuildingScienceWx
9.5" with light to moderate snow. Temp hasn't moved for the duration. Wind is really gusting and some drifts are getting impressive. Turning in for a few hours. Good luck everyone.

TalcottWx
Ray, I'm keeping a close eye on what I see on modeling for your hood too. From what I see, despite being stuck in between bands for times, you will see at least a foot. Take it fwiw. It looks like areas from Albany to mitch in the berks to s VT and s NH may see localized 20" spots.

FRWEATHA
Wind has picked up. Snowfall remains moderate. I normally expect a storm such as this way down here to be post MLK Day. But we take.

TalcottWx
Current conditions here are far out performing anything I ever expected from this storm. It's a complete white out and is snowing several inches an hour. Visibility is now below 100 yards here. And this is only the WCB meat. Really impressive stuff. Wind is only scheduled to pick up from this point onward and then we should see enhancement from the coastal front heading toward dawn. The latest hrrr runs buries Boston up to Ray and down into the northern south shore also out to Framingham with 1-2 feet.

Sn0waddict
Man I’ve avoided sleet more than I thought I would tonight. And I think I’m in the clear now. I just need the damn precip. Idk I have a bad feeling this convective type stuff won’t bring the goods though.

I'm wondering how close we will be to blizzard criteria... seems like only winds might fall short, but they will pick up through the night, already gusts to 37 at KBOS

CCHurricane
Central Cape Cod up to ~4 inches.
