Storm total 10.5".

Measured twice

12:00 a.m. 5.0" of snow (0.39" liquid)

10:00 a.m. 5.5" of snow (0.94" liquid)

The overnight dry slot and sleet killed us with ratios.

You had the liquid equivalent. At least it is a man pack now. Might survive a grinch storm.

Brian is your snow growth as good as mine? I think these are the highest rates of the storm. I’m walking around shoveling every 10 or 15 minutes there’s another inch so I’m pretty sure I’m in a 45 inch an hour range. Binghamton is reporting 41 and you will beat that

Well you can’t clear more than every 6hr. I think mine is starting to weigh down upon itself. I had 4” in my cleared path last hour, but my measuring area only went up to 16.5” from 14.5”. So my total is up to 29.8”. I’ll clear at noon, but we’ll be winding down by then.

Wow you aren’t kidding...you more than doubled the QPF On the second measurement, compared to the first, and had pretty close to the same snow measurement for both.  Dam that’s a shame.

Mark...what’s your new snow depth (untouched area). Up to 26” here.

22” Maybe a half an hour ago. So probably 24 inches now as it’s gotten so much more extreme in the last half hourMaybe a half an hour ago. So probably 24 inches now as it’s gotten so much more extreme in the last half hour

Yeah that is a nice band over ORH county now.

...

Better fall rates have resumed here in Ayer after our run-in with the verified albeit hinted if not wantonly ignored ( hahaha ) gap this morning...

I threw this together for those who may feel jaded by this event - sometimes it helps to have the explanation...and I'm sure others may have some analytic ideas to add...

Yeah the stuff after ~12:30 definitely crapped out. Less so here with a couple more inches but I could feel the difference between the first 8-9" and the last few outside.
