College Parks latest METAR w/ 5SM visiblity would imply -SN as well but that station may not have a precip identification sensor. Yes it shifted from sleet to light snow about 10 minutes ago. 32.9 degrees

Frederiskcburg and Louisa, VA were -RA at the start but once the heavier precip moved in they've not flipped to -SN. Even Quantico, which is right on the river, has -SN now so there might be a bit more 'boom' with the snow thanks to the earlier onset. Sleet here at the moment a little NW of Fredericksburg and 29 degrees
PrinceFrederickWx
Surprisingly I’m getting some sleet- I was expecting all rain. 35 degrees here.

Looks ok for another 1-2 hours in the DC area (better NW of course). 4

A track up the Bay would be rain to Binghamton if there wasn't that high pressure/confluence/blocking. It's not 100% perfect, but the best we've had in ~22 months. 3

DDweatherman
I actually like the meso obs from SPC right now. Checking the various levels of temps and coupling that with obs in forum make me believe the HRRR won’t be completely out to lunch. The NAM, on the other hand, looks like it was off by quite a bit.
