I’m about to call it quits for another three hours before I continue HRRRcasting/wishcasting, but check out the current HP vs the modeled HP on this site:

https://www.spc.noaa.gov/exper/mesoanalysis/new/viewsector.php?sector=16&parm=pmsl&underlay=1&source=1

Currently shows a 1038mb HP just north of the NY/VT border. Forecast for this time period seems to have been for a 1034mb. Dunno what this means for cold scouring/LP position later, just an observation.

The HRRR has been consistent with the northern tier getting absolutely destroyed for several hrs today between 17-21z. Here's an example regional based sounding across the northern areas. This is a great way to get WSW criteria snow before any issues of mixing.

27.4 (current low) / 61 ,  30.32"

Local forecast calls for a high of 31 today in Columbia, so while on "the line", there's at least a chance to remain very icy today (as opposed to melty and wet).

Dang. I think we might lose you all in Columbia today to liquification ;)

Good luck @WxUSAF  @Scraff @osfan24

And for those popping in from PA, thanks for stopping by! Just remember this is a very DC/Baltimore centric forum, so don't be surprised if we never talk about PA and shun your snow ;) . But here's a local met's snowmap for you

Went to college with Christine, she is wonderful
