Getting windy.

Excited to hear some of the blizzard reports from our northern crew this evening. 30-40 mph winds with heavy snow. - delicious.

was hoping my folks in New York would get the ole shaft... nope. 12-18” with blizzard conditions is a lock there

You know I see it on the radar looking out side its thats small flakes that fall during a blizzard type snow. during the really heavy snows sometimes your lucky and get fat flakes. but ill take this too.4 1/2 inchs the last 2 hours give or take.

You don’t want fat flakes. That means the sleets coming. Take all of the dust you can brother.

Maybe hearing some pingers mixing in on the windows here in Emmitsburg ? @CatoctinRN  you hearing /seeing that? still 80% snow but pingers.

Confirmed Pingers, yes. Pingers began mixing here to your ESE about 25 mins ago and you’re about 1-2 degrees colder up in Emmitsburg than here. My son lives in Thurmont and he said it’s about 80/20 snow

26/16 here.

Not sure. I’m on the 4th floor of my building and I don’t hear anything yet but I have pretty small windows. Will be taking a walk soon though so I’ll see!

30F: freezing rain, mostly slush on the roads but seeing light ice accretion on elevated surfaces such as trees, banister rails, power lines, overpasses etc. Rates are too high and temperatures a bit warm to see major ice impacts that would threaten widespread power outages or transportation issues.

None of the models had this lull for our area. As good as they are they arent perfect :)

Gooooood! Let us lull until we get into the colder sector of the storm.  Reports of precip changing back over to snow in the west Roanoke, christiansburg area. Encouraging to see.
