I missed out on that since I went to Brithish Columbia for that... but the 1978 drifts in Foxboro were nuts.  Up and over our VW microbus

Me and the other kids in the neighborhood walked around with our shovels, the drifts at the bowling alley were over 12 feet high, you couldn't see the front doors, the owner paid us all 5 bucks to clear the front entrance.

17 years old, first car, 1972 Pontiac Catalina. Long unprotected driveway. There was not even a bump to give me an idea of where it was.

PD 1 storm was a bomb. The ULL held together.  I don't think it is a good analog

PDII and the blizzard of 1983 are probably better analogs for SNE.

High placement was nearly identical in 1983

PDII wad a similar troff lifting out and weak coastal,  High placement was similar but a lot stronger.  Also had a deep tropical connection

I was in the jackpot in 79. I grew up in Dover Delaware and we got 25 inches and a pretty awesome 5 in./h. And drifting. It was awesome awesome awesome. And it came after the blizzard of 78 the year before so I was about 15 years old I was totally hookedI

I had a Gran Torino with a black top, all you could see was the black, snow was even from the roof down, awesome hope to see that again in my life.
