We seem to be in a good spot for this storm so I'm going for 5" but holding out for possibly a bit higher if we get in some bands. You're good. This could be the year of MSN specials.
Geoboy645
Yeah I think 4-5" is a good final call here. This storm will be a longer one though, it's starting now and won't really get done until sometime tomorrow afternoon. Sometimes though those are the best storms. The snow should last a few days at least, as it looks like we will be in the upper 20's until the middle of next week.
hawkeye_wx
Snow is beginning to mix in here. I don't expect any accumulation until after midnight when the defo band moves in.
hawkeye_wx
The rain/snow line really crashed south after sunset. Snow is coming down pretty good now and the grass is whitening.

Chicago Storm
R/S line has pretty much sat along a line from near MKE to RFD to IOW all night, but is now rapidly pushing eastward across NW/W IL. Should see some flakes here later this morning or this afternoon. Also...Terrible upgrade to a WSW for those 4 counties by DVN.

It's really the only report in excess of 5" or so thus far, so not quite. WSW is definitely going to be a bust and highly questionable move.
