PhineasC
Those WB snow maps really are aggressive with the totals. The map on TT is quite a bit more tame (still really good, but not a huge fat stripe of 12-15 like that.
dendrite
NAM wise...early on looks like the northern stream is a little slower digging in for the phase. Not much change with the southern stream.
dendrite
This will be the slight shift east that has me throwing objects out my window.

Unless it’s premium conditions it’s usually pretty safe to take like 75% of those numbers. Still impressive of course, but a little less obscene. HoarfrostHubb
Those higher total might be hard to come close to if this scoots quickly. Should be some great rates for a while

I find certain ones better than others... ironically the HRRR snow maps usually aren’t as weenieish as that one. They are pretty good at only counting the change over to snow. But you still might waste a couple tenths on white rain or wet snow at the changeover.
Bostonseminole
actually looking closer maybe about the same as 18z.. others can confirm

It's Always Sunny
Pretty much only a 25 mile difference of 0C isotherm is what is keeping the GFS from being in agreement with the rest of the models. Definitely think it is resolvable.

PhineasC
Some of this on the NAM seems to just be the precip shield tightening up. I have seen it do that many times. It is usually too aggressive with the mega-cutoff.
