40/70 Benchmark
I believe that the antecedent airmass in Dec 1992 sucked, too.,,similar to this one.
ORH_wxman
Phasing is slightly better by 24h...so this should be a hair west of 06z on the euro.

It was sleeting raining then all of a sudden I looked up and could see a huge cloud of snowflakes make their way to the surface. The transition was also accompanied by constant thunder and lightning. I hope we have a daytime transition cuz they are so cool. Typhoon Tip
yeah... appears as more and more N/stream relays over the U.S./Can border heading over the Lakes region ...we are negotiating more intensity - I don't know/think that's a mere coincidence ... but, we're also pretty sightly into a consensus here at this point and that's/those are probably within noise - Thing is, when we're on the razor of margin ... noise matters. it's 53 F here with tepid warm sun and it smells like late April - ...it almost feels like it is NOT marginal... but we wait to get to marginal, THEN... see what happens... hahahah

UML wanted me to do a research project on it using an old Weather Event Simulator from BOX. So I was going to collaborate with them. The WES died, but I turned that into an internship for the summer, which turned into a thesis, which got me over the hump and into a met intern spot at DVN. And now you're all stuck with me.

greenmtnwx
Ultimately on the ground (radar presentation) these things end up about 50 miles west in sensible weather versus late-stage modeling. Particularly phased, wrapped up storms, whether it be because of better precip fields in the mid-levels, etc.
