Good morning all!  I just caught up by reading 70 posts from midnight last night to the present.  I must say, it is very exciting to see so many of us cashing in this time as well as so many folks participating in our thread.  Creates a great sense of community.  I'm so glad I'm retired now and can totally enjoy the storm from start to finish.  My snowboard is all set along with my clear-vue gauge so I can measure liquid equivalents.  One thing I noticed about the Euro is that it cut back the total qpf substantially from many of its prior runs at least for around MDT.  Yesterday it was putting out 2.2" while this morning it's down to 1.4".  On the other hand it looks like the GFS has traded places with the Euro and has bumped up its total storm qpf.  Regardless, I look forward to posting all my measurements today and tonight.  Should we consider creating a separate obs thread for this storm?  We have done that in the past with big storms.  Just a thought.  I can just keep posting here as well.  Good luck to all and stay safe!

Just wanted to say:

Here on the forum we wait for snow,

For all of us it makes us glow.

Which is what was needed during this year,

To bring us all some laughs and cheer.

And while not certain of how much we get,

All of us hope white and tons of it.

But I really think what is so much fun,

Is sharing the love of snow on here with everyone.

So enjoy it and let it bring you cheer,

Along with all your special beverages I hear.

And when this snowstorm is finally done,

Let us look forward to tracking the next one.

Enjoy all!!!!!! :)

Think you’re about a flake short for State College.

You’re in a good spot bro, think you’ll see some good stuff later tonight. I’m about 18 miles or so north of you.

Thanks good luck you too! My first time being out this way besides driving through.

how does the wind do with this these suckers out here. I know you got the mountains to deal with. I almost prefer no wind honestly I’ve experienced high wind NE blizzards but I’ve always preferred just calm heavy calm snow haha

Getting some nice dendrites mixing in with the smaller flakes now, so the heavier stuff is hopefully is moving in. I just wish the wife was home from work already. She has a rental car that she's not familiar with as her Jeep is in the body shop getting fixed from when a deer ran into her drivers side fender and front door about a month ago.
