December Observations

Today was a different day.

Last night was cold as yesterday morning.  But some where along the lines it warmed up. Upper 40s this morning to about 75 today.

Those places that got hit with the heavy frost yesterday morning sure turned brown today.

Quite a difference 24hrs.

Picked up night at 0.40” overnight and this morning. Don’t think any model had near that amount. Wish we had more phasing, slower system to work with the cold air moving in. Feel like I’ve said that 1,000,000 times being in central N.C. Maybe we squeeze out some novelty flakes this evening. Certainly feels like winter, temps dropped to 39

That is encouraging. it would be nice to see a courtesy flake out this way.

I also heard flurries as far south as Snow Camp in Alamance Co. - so yes - some hope - but its marginal at best.....the flakes are very few and far between but we're going on almost an hour now and still seeing a few here in Burlington.
