How many times have you gotten your hopes out 5 days out just to be dissapointed? So it's nice for me knowing I actually won't be dissapointed when this inevitably starts falling apart Sunday night or Monday. Feeling smart might delete later idk. My only concern right now is the NAM which seems to get that deformation zone a touch east from lewisburg. Then again a lot of other models bullseye them so it’s a win win, but I don’t want to be sitting there and keep hoping that the heaviest dbz get to me. I’m a greeedy mofo lol

LVwhiteout
I would settle for Hazleton. Nice elevation and always produces a couple inches more than places around there.
Hurricane Agnes
Don't know if a storm obs thread is gonna be created (probably) but sticking an obs here for now since it is desert dry - temp 26 with dp 11 & cloudy. Will take some time to moisten that up!

They sure do cover all their bases -- "perhaps some sun, with snow possible". Well, they do say there's a 0% probability of thunderstorms...going out on quite a limb there. I'll go with the usual KA Christmas forecast: partly sunny, 50's.
Ralph Wiggum
12 CMC in the LR has a low forming in the Mississippi Valley with a strong dome of arctic HP over Eastern Canada. Gives a threatening icy look for 2nd part of Christmas Day.

Ralph Wiggum
JMA is on board for a wintry threat on Christmas Day. In the CMC camp holding energy back in TX while arctic front swings thru then bringing a low out of the Mississippi Valley.
RedSky
Telleconnections are favorable for winter weather from Christmas through early January, not too often that happens.

Newman
The Atlantic block and 50/50 goes away which is a shame because, if we had it to slow the flow, this might be a great storm threat. Verbatim, the west coast ridge is in a perfect Boise-centered location until it rolls over on us and pushes the trough out. It's still close though. Will be interesting to watch. In the meantime, I need some rest from tracking this past storm.

Potential for beach chair 55-60F temps xmas eve until around sunrise then temps dropping into the 20's xmas day late evening it's going to be interesting. Also Thunderstorms and torrential downpours Christmas morning and high wind
RedSky
Little bit of sleet Christmas morning then some flakes after the thunderstorm, the flood and the damaging winds. Santa is in trouble it's 2020. 1
Ralph Wiggum
No shortage of chances for the foreseeable future. No real specific tracking threats at range yet...but keep those progged looks and we will connect soon enough. Encouraging to see HL blocking continue AND even more encouraging is the sudden stream of STJ activity being forecast.
