cny rider
OK so the NWS radar is really awful now. I'm thinking of subscribing to RadarScope. I know it will work on my iPad......but can I use to on my Mac desktop too? Sorry for the stupid question.

It’s snowing steadily here but the temperature is in the mid 30s so it’s not accumulating, at least not on dark surfaces. The back edge is approaching from the west so it should be over in 30-60 minutes.

vortmax
Looks like BUF is favoring the Euro and Canadian so far - they tend to keep the LP closer - gamble for sure! Will all but throw out the impatient GFS that rushes the phasing jets and delays the blossoming secondary low until it is well past our forecast area. Much prefer the looks of the Canadian Hemispheric and ECMWF packages...so THAT is where forecast has LARGELY been based.

Travel likely to become an issue...mainly from southern suburbs of Buf to PA line...and in the Watertown area. Heavy lake snows Christmas night east of both lakes. We are still 5 days out on this storm and a jog 100 miles East or West changes the entire setup and who gets the snow. Until we get into short range we’re gonna keep seeing the drifts back and forth. Everybody’s still in the game at this point.
