Hey look boys we’ve had many tough starts before and have had some of our most epic events as those shitty starts transformed in incredible events. BGM Blizzard
12z EPS looked pretty solid from some of the individual precip frames I saw in another thread. Didn't look like it changed much from previous run. BGM must be relying heavily on that for the WSW expansion.
TugHillMatt
BGM mentioned in their discussion earlier today that if lake effect sets up nicely over the Syracuse area tonight, we "could" get up to 4 inches. I know...reeeeeeeaaally low chance, but with some moisture present and lapse rates, there is the possibility. Heck, even wolfie reported thundersnow. But then again, he's on the edge of the land where a bear farts and it snows.

TugHillMatt
Upstate New York has been in the zone of too much warm air pushing up and now temporarily "too much" cold air pushing down. Maybe we can get some clippers in January? Too much to ask?

Not sure if I'm reading your sarcasm right, but the Upper Genesee valley is well South of Rochester down towards its headwaters along the southern Tier. The fingerlakes and Upper Genesee are much different than Rochester and Monroe County and shouldnt really be lumped together. There is about a 50 inch difference in seasonal snowfall between Rochester and the Upper Genny.
