Will that work out for us in this case, or will it be one of those annoying situations where the models sniff it out and stay the course... I still hold with the time tested notion that being in the GFS bullseye 4-5 days out is usually a set up for a nasty rug pull.

TugHillMatt
12Z runs didn't bring anything more encouraging. If anything, the systems may be showing up farther west, but NOT north. Just getting squashed from moving any more north. We finally get some cold, but...... Seems like past several winters, if we can get any more north, it will do the sharp turn and go waaay north that we need it. aka becomes a cutter. Thinksnow18
Yeah this is getting pretty depressing. We’re not used to this and honestly I’m not in the mood for waiting two more weeks. Well I guess there’s not much to do but watch sports. 2

CNY-LES FREAK
So they all have to stay like this for 20 more runs, RLMAO, yeah OK, that might just happen. I for one am happy to be on the Northern end thats for sure cause one of them is coming North eventually!

Also, there isn't going to be a huge opening for the system to track as far NW as I think we want. ALSO, the cutoff between no snow and SNOW is very sharp. Plus, winter patterns have sucked lately. Discouraging.
crossbowftw3
I'm getting Jonas flashbacks. That run scared me and I hope it doesn't keep up. My continued fear is that it might just do so.
BGM Blizzard
Looks like 12z overall had slightly weaker storm and slightly stronger HP causing the storm to kick east into the Atlantic a little earlier/further south. Not good.

Not good. Yep. We need a stronger LP. We need it to catch sooner and close. It did none of the above. It just gets pushed along by the pacific jet. 4-5 days still. It will move. we are having a hard time lol

vortmax
Guys, the vort over the Pac isn't even being sampled yet. Until that happens, this system is still in play...
