tim123
Have seen this look many times. Not written in stone. Just pattern recognition. Has potential.
CNY-LES FREAK
This is just Classic looking at 700mb. Copious amounts of moisture being thrown back up and over a very cold dome if air at both the surface and mid-levels, very nice! Is the Euro still at the top of the list with its resolution and spatial composition?Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk Does look good at H700...especially at 6-7 days out, the qpf panels tend to be among the least reliable, though we all like to fixate on them.

tim123
Think all the models are having issues with the low coming out of rockies. I stick with my gut and say this will be more significant here than modeled now.

wolfie09
European actually looks like the Canadian..The gfs is weaker and more progressive.. That HP is not going to allow it to gain much latitude..

wolfie09
Probably some decent members on the Canadian ensembles.. This system going East/ENE off the S Jersey coast sure doesn't help lol If it's not one thing it's another..
BuffaloWeather
Cold enough to snow, but very little to no snow the next 2 weeks. Just bleeding lake Erie energy in the process.

wolfie09
Not terrible, near a 50% chance of 6" for Ksyr on the ensembles, obviously must be a bunch of inland solutions..

BuffaloWeather
Even KBUF is bored, the absolute worst pattern. Cold and dry. I would literally take any other pattern then this one. It virtual guarantees Buffalo with a well below normal snowfall season. .LONG TERM /TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/... A cold, dry airmass will be in place through a majority of the Long Term period. Temperatures will be below normal with highs in the 20s and lows in the single digits to teens from Tuesday to Friday. Unfortunately for snow lovers, the best chance for accumulating snow will be closer to Interstate-95 from the Mid- Atlantic region to southern New England as a coastal low develops off the coast. There could still be a widespread snowfall as far north as Western and North Central NY but with the current consensus track amounts would be light.
