CNY-LES FREAK
I see what the GFS is doing for this weekends event. It seems to be playing games with the energy in the SW-->TX area as it holds alot of the energy back and doesn't all come out at once. Earlier runs it had one big ball of energy phasing with a Northern Stream disturbance, which it still does but alot less strong but that can easily change the next few days. The best we can hope for, is its the GFS being the GFS, where it loses the short range only to have it come back down the road some but LR is definitely interesting and probably our best period so far! Looks like we got 5-6 chances the next 15 days give or take the on the storm number so not bad but whats always lacking and seems to be the problem with every event is the Temps, just not cold enough, Yet!

I guess it’s being attributed to a good sized meteor that broke up over the central ny through the Buffalo area, southern Ontario to about Detroit. There have been reports of a fireball of course here we’re socked in with low clouds so we couldn’t see anything. https://fireball.amsmeteors.org/members/imo_view/event/2020/7267 I was working in barker today(right on Lake Ontario shoreline), building a new food plant and it was loud enough that we thought something onsite blew up. cleetussnow
Euro has been jumping 200 miles the last 3 cycles back and forth, and the axis of the trough tilt has been changing too. The GFS has been going in one direction and resolute about it - the wrong way. Euro solutions have to be respected this close. confounding.
