Eskimo Joe
IMO, 18z OP GFS trended in the wrong direction back to US 15. Mix line gets even past @mappy.

87storms
the cold air damming looks pretty legit, even on 18z. i would think (saying this 4 days out) that starting as frozen is a pretty good bet. question is how far west that primary goes, amongst other things. looks juicier this run, too. IronTy
Ugh that GFS shift north is brutal. I better stay away from any more model surfing.

Maestrobjwa
If the 18z were to happen, that would be the real bust here...because that would take a 5-8" prospect along the beltway and turn it into slush! Hope it's wrong! Now...what is making the primary get tucked in like that? (and what do we need to change it?
Scraff
GoFuS drunk at happy hour? Guess I’ll take my 1-2” on the I95. Congrats on your modeled snow bomb, Hagerstown.

jaydreb
Euro no longer the warmest model.
WVclimo
The best runs had precip on us by 12Z Wednesday. The Euro has been slower than that for several cycles. We really don’t want slower, as it gives the high time to slide east. We are much better off with the ridge axis centered on Montreal (or west of there) rather than east of Quebec City. 18Z GFS has a later arrival and the storm cuts.

My call 2 days ago is still intact — 2-6” 95 crew. Winchester and mountains demolished. Not being Debbie downer (and it will flip flop) but this is the most likely outcome. Doesn’t matter for me — I’ll be surfing pow at 7springs or enjoying our anomalous foot here. Happy either way.

Eskimo Joe
18z OP GFS cuts the coastal low into Point Lookout...that's really far west. Wonder what the ensembles will say. If they're all west we probably have a problem. 1
