It's more zonal...so there will be a bit of a gradient. It means that anything would need to e well timed. Hence, not terrible. But meh. Snow and stormy conditions to start the month of December, then we Spring until Mid March...it definitely would fit the "groundhog Day" feel this year has brought.... 1 1
Chrisrotary12
At least the pattern will be active going forward. Sure everything looks like cutters, but better than nothing in my opinion.

The eps continues to show a good pattern in the 11-15 until it went towards the GEFS yesterday. The models have been chasing this -epo/blocking pattern for a while now. In reality we just end up with more of the same. We really need something to shake things up.

CoastalWx
This past weekend threat snuck back. Originally it looked more like the 7-8, I know others thought the same too. That’s different when you look at an overall pattern vs timing a s/w like this weekend.
HIPPYVALLEY
Looks like a dry week coming up. Temperatures start to crawl AN again towards the end of the week.

Just throwing it out there that something a week out is in no way a certainty in any direction. Obviously you know this better than I do, but sometimes we are too quick to condemn things around here it seems. But I agree, it looks right now like it has a better chance at cutting west than not. But really, none of us really know if that potential will even be there in two or three days too? Could just as easily go poof and not happen/materialize. Im just not ready to write off the rest of December on the 6th..but that’s just me. 1
weathafella
To correct Kevin’s memory-GEFS showed the amazing pattern last Monday at 12z and eps followed epic by Wednesday. GEFS and eps both modified it by late week. It’s December 6th.

40/70 Benchmark
Its active with no se ridge, so let's see what happens. I get that it won't be pretty, but if there is still cold to be had, it can still snow on the front end of these systems...especially as climo grows more conducive.
