Thursday was indeed Boxing Day part II, despite people trying to opine otherwise. Miller A systems have a better shot of:

1) Hugging so that the deformation is well west.

2) Occluding to your SW, so that deformation is weakening by the time if gets here.

I'll take it over last year, but Miller A are usually flawed in this part of the region.

If only something could bomb off Nj and ever so slowly pass ese South of long island with a banana high pressure up north , something that would bury the  area region wide at least to Albany

Mood snow here

Euro is a close call evolution for the wave after Xmas. Tries to run a wave into the lakes but gets shoved east and closes off. Big dump for interior. Bombs too late. Very convoluted look at end of run

Plenty of time to sort that out. I haven't looked yet.

Euro still bad for the grinch storm but it sped things up a lot...by about 12 hours from late Xmas night for FROPA on last night’s run to 18z Xmas day on today’s run. Let’s speed that up another 12 hours and we’re looking better.

It was almost a carbon copy of what it showed @ 12z on Friday.
