Ahoff
A 6"-9" storm is pretty good, and to get two in December, is impressive. Here's hoping, anyway.
Ahoff
18z HRRR not looking too good. Onset of storm is pretty warm (35-36 degrees).

Or was it showing much lower totals? At least it's the GFS, lol.
Rd9108
Fully expecting the NAM to drop totals again because like I said we got NAMd as usual. We could literally write a script for storms that screw us.

dj3
Rgem brought the heavy snow axis a little west from 12z as it looks like the low was more tucked.

Well, this type of storm is pretty standard for us, so we kind of knew this was ours, but again, we never know. We got lucky on the 1st, maybe more to come, who knows? Also, not sure how important it is but only got up to 36 this afternoon about 3-4 degrees colder than expected.
Rd9108
Rgem is west of the 12z which is good to see. Next up is the 18z euro and then the 0z NAM. When do the SREFs and other short range models and plots come out?

Burghblizz
It would be nice to verify on higher end of those plumes again. Will be tough to do that back to back

CoraopolisWx
IMHO, we are going to have a relatively small window where lift/energy and moisture are good. Efficient snow growth will be key to get off to a fast start, and with some luck, reach low end warning totals before the coastal absorbs everything.

KPITSnow
Someone posted the Euro ensembles in the Mid atlantic forums and there are a TON that are tracking well inland and west of the OP, far more than the few eastern outliers. If that is any sort of indicator it could mean a much bigger hit back our way.
