OutnOakmont
It's such a weird looking storm on radar. Sort of a weird polar express stretching across the Midwest.

Burghblizz
Reminds me a little of just a fat Lake Effect band training. Seems to be some 4” and 5” totals already south/south west of Columbus (while CMH itself is looking a bit shafted) I think some from that area to here sees 6” if we can keep the goods training. SteelCity87
Very dangerous out right now. Roads haven't been touched. Had about 2" at the airport when I left. Cars stranded all along 376. Accidents. Shocked I made it home.
north pgh
You know it’s a good night when you’re lying in bed and it’s only been snowing 2 hours and the plow comes down your street.

That type of snow that just piles up. We can't miss this year. Even the storm that never had more than 3" otg once was officially recorded as 9.1"

KPITSnow
And once again my employer isn’t going to delay opening and force me to risk my car and safety to go to work. Probably going to have to call off again.
KeefRichards
Feel sorry for those that still have to commute on days like today. The whole COVID work from home model in my case has really allowed me to enjoy this winter like no other. Love snow, but hate commuting to work in it. OutnOakmont
Just took my dogs out and measured about 5.25"!!! It's superstitious as hell, but it's like we do the best when the storms get very little attention, very little hype. We need more of these low-key sleeper cell storms haha

Watch a big storm for 5 days and all the intricacies of what can go wrong. Now a front basically gets held up in the right place, and most of of AGC scoring a quick 6”

KPITSnow
Commute was hideous. Roads awful and people driving too fast. Of course the one person who I saw spin was a jag in a pickup...one of those guys that thinks that they are in Invincible in their 4wd
BigO60
I have not seen one plow go through Squirrel Hill. Roads are horrendous.
Ahoff
Woke up surprised at how much snow there was. Even had a plow pre-treating before it started last night! Did nothing, roads are white.

My sister lives more north towards freeport and didn't measure quite as much.

This came in thumpin Those early rates were truly impressive. Slept a lot better knowing based on early indications that we would wake up to the 5” the NWS predicted. Looking ahead: the GFS warm-sectors us to death with its Sunday storm and the Euro still doesn’t really give us anything there, but its depiction of the Tues-Wed system is looking pretty fun. GFS slides it south of our area but at least carries a decent system somewhere.
RitualOfTheTrout
Measured a little over 4.75 here about a half hour ago. Won't be surprised to end at or slightly over 5 if we can manage another hour or two of the light stuff.

I'm in the same boat, really nice to not have to wake up earlier to shovel / clean off the cars and fight with traffic and poor road conditions. Can just sit and look out the window while working for now and do cleanup this afternoon.

Crazy how far apart those two are on those two storms, GFS seems to be holding strong with the idea of a cutter at 6z while Euro has a weak low out off the coast. Nearer term let's see if there are any North adjustment s for tomorrow. I wouldn't mind getting another 1-2 on top of this one.
