I’m hoping we max out on this one, I’m thinking the next wave will be less of an impact possibly for us and more so SE. That’s usually how these things go, each successive weak wave targets further South as the boundary gets pushed South by its departing predecessor. I could be wrong, but if I had to guess that’s how I would hedge my bet.

THese are the types of storms that usually overperform for us.

I am not looking forward to my commute tomorrow.

I agree, the Wednesday night into Thursday wave looks like it has trended south. I have noticed that the euro and gfs are developing snow again into the region again late Thursday night into Friday, almost like it has separated into 3 smaller separate waves now. Something to keep an eye on and nice to not be sweating any p-type concerns.

63.5” would get us into the top 10 snowiest seasons, so just under 20 more inches to get there.

2014 I think we literally got like 40 straight days of snow. Nickel and dimed to death.

Wow, we're maxing on for this.  Very interesting that in New Castle and Uniontown they see less than an inch, and the in between some will get 5".  Very weird.

It's all about where the frontogenetic band sets up. As seems to be our luck this winter it might setup right over Allegheny county.

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TUESDAY/...
Strong jet-supported will aid in spreading snow across the region
tonight. A frontogenetic band is likely to set up over eastern OH to
west central PA, generally along the I-70 corridor during the early
morning hours of Tuesday. With surface temperature in the 20s,
saturation to 300 mb, and coincident omega, aforementioned
frontogenesis will likely result in heavy snow at times, and for
those under the Advisory, 3-6 inches by the morning commute.

Where the frontogenesis develops, and sits for several hours, is
where the highest snow totals will be. There will likely be a fine
gradient in snow totals.

Was pretty cold in January.

One quick aside to that: Despite that winter, and the following winter being brutally cold, we hit 50 five times through today’s date in 2014 and four times through today’s date in 2015.

Anyway, if the GFS and/or Euro somehow verify, there’s a solid shot at being in the 65+ inch range for the season by the end of February.

Why I do not remember 2013-2014 being that snowy? Lol
