Damn they are pretty confident that we will get atleast 4 from this.

NWS PBZ pretty bullish too, 4-6 inches: Timing for the change over looks to be sometime between 6pm-11pm With the GFS being quicker and NAM / Canadian a bit slower. Part of me is actually hoping for a later switch (assuming it doesn't affect totals). I think it will be an awesome transformation from bare ground to winter wounder land when the kids wake up.

Don't even start.

I have zero confidence in this event, just based off what we have seen with these in the past. Then again literally everything has overperformed this year so maybe this will continue the trend.

In any case, we were essentially halfway to our season average before winter even started. Given our last few December’s which seem to remember constantly being in the 50’s that’s a win, not to mention we already got our best storm since 2010.

Instead of a slow bleed, they must be expecting a sudden burst of cold air at all levels. This should promote decent snow growth.

GFS a good 6”-7” as well. Models are advertising a suprisingly (to me) wide swath of decent snows. That would seem to give us a bit more wiggle room

We are going for top 5 Decembers. Imagine if we get another 8 inch storm. That would be insane.

Euro has us at like 5-7ish fwiw. Granted that is using a 10-1 ratio which most likely will not occur at least at first. Regardless when was our last White Christmas. Seems like every year I'm in shorts that day.

I think we had one a few years ago? Other than that the last one I remember was way back in 2002.

2017 we had 1.4” I believe early in the morning.  2010 had snow on the ground.

So can we get a 30 inch December? What is the December record? I know there are other storm chances before the end of the year.

December record 36.3", probably a stretch, #2 however, is just over 26", maybe a #2 December!

All models, long and short range seem to paint 3"-6".

I just never understand why they put out graphics showing a certain number then put out an entirely different total in the advisory/warnings. They flip flopped the warning last week 3 times in a day. 5-9" to 4-8" then right back to 6-9".  Very minor changes but why even bother? Some differing opinions in that office it seems
